Janet Giovanelli joined Bauer Publishing in 1995, and was named Editor in Chief of J-14 in 2000. Since taking the helm at J-14, Janet steered the popular teen magazine to become the bestselling teen magazine on newsstands, creating a market leader in this incredibly competitive category. Ms. Giovanelli's vision for the magazine brings readers in touch with their favorite celebrities, while offering fashion and beauty advice that is relevant and appropriate for teens. Previously, Giovanelli co-founded J-14 and served as its Executive Editor. Prior to J-14, Janet was the News Editor at Bauer Publishing's Soap Opera Update. Additionally, she served as a reporter at the Queens Tribune. A graduate of St. John's University, Giovanelli currently resides in Long Island with her husband Freddy and their triplets, Robert, Freddy and Chloe. Janet also serves on the board of numerous charitable organizations and is currently serving as the President of the Manhasset Auxiliary of Americans Helping Retarded Children.
