New York, NY (November 17, 2006) -- In Touch Weekly is proud to announce that it is the fastest growing celebrity weekly and attracts a younger reader than any other publication in its category, according to the latest MRI (Mediamark Research Inc.) report released on Wednesday, November 15, 2006. The Fall 2006 MRI release shows continued growth in the celebrity/entertainment category, with all measured titles showing increases compared to the same period last year. In Touch Weekly posted the largest increase in the celebrity/entertainment category with a +23% growth; this gain is not only the largest increase in the category, but also one of the largest increases among all MRI measured publications. In its second full year of measurement by MRI, In Touch Weekly has already broken the 5 million audience mark, with a total of 5,272,000 readers. According to the MRI report, In Touch Weekly also has the youngest readers of any celebrity/entertainment publication. The median age for In Touch Weekly readers in 29.1, which is lower than its competitors Us (30.1), Star (35.1) and People (41.0). In Touch Weekly’s circulation is at an all-time high of 1.1 million and the title has the fifth highest newsstand sales among consumer magazines.
